major surfing events in both Hawai'i and California to bring you a compilation of the top
performers from the two states.
The Top 6 Finishers of any one of the "grand slam events" are
nominated for each category.

select BODYSURFERS - All-America Awards (National-select Archives)
For Boys and Girls Bodysurfing, the major long-standing events
include the World Bodysurfing Championships, Oceanside Pier,
California, the International Surf Festival, Manhattan Beach
Pier, California, and Point Panic Invitational, Kewalo Basin, Honolulu,
Oahu, Hawai'i. Other events, as available, include the U.S. Open of
Bodysurfing, Huntington Beach Pier, California, and either Makapu'u or Sandy Beach
Invitationals, Oahu.

For Boys and Girls Surfing (both short
board and longboard), the major level events
include the California ISF State Championships and Hawai'i ISF State
Championships -- both open to High School Teams and athletes,
and the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA), the
self-proclaimed "highest profile amateur
competitive surfing association in the United States." Other events, as available, include the U.S. Open
of Surfing, Huntington Beach Pier, California, and either Ala Moana
(spring) or Haleiwa (winter), Oahu.This section is now under

- The above lists serve as the top high school age
All-America Surfing
awards -- and they're the ones which highlight athletes competing in the
California-Hawai'i area. The lists are assembled from multiple surfing
venues which
feature more than two-thirds the high school surfers in the USA.
Individual Awards are available for
surfers at a
cost (described in the order forms and on the Awards tab).
Congratulations to the surfers, their high schools and their
hometowns for these prestigious accolades.
